Beer - storage cellar

The brewery has altogether 85 lager tanks of size from 110 hl to 230 hl. The capacity of the whole cellar is 15 000 hl. The old brewers counted: „ The capacity of the cellar x 10 = year sale of the brewery". That means 150 000 hl in our brewery. The beer 10% stands in a cellar for 21 days, 11% for 45 days, 12 % for 55 days and the export beer for 90 days.

For the even quality the beer is mixed. In the cellar is the tank closed and rising CO2 is melting right away in a beer. It is something like if you make a soda water from the refill.

One of the important conditions for the production of the good beer is cold. At the building - up of the brewery was thought of that and there were built two cool rooms. When the ice was melting, the ice water was cooling the cellars. The brewery supplied the ice together with a beer to the pubs. Today is artificial refrigeration one of the most expensive charges for the production.
